** Lots Of News **
What a crazy weekend went to Vegas for the Truesport Event and had a great time.We got to Vegas to meet with Kekoa and Serena from the TapouT Gym. Of course they put us to work and put Kekoa's turn table in the back of my truck, along with 4 giant boxes of Vinny's personal stuff that I brought to him.
We then checked out the Truesport weigh-ins,but had to leave to meet Vinny at Marc Laimons Cobra Kai gym www.ckjj.com/1/index.htm for a training session.Got to CK and met with Marc and Johny Hendricks and two other fighters that I cant seem to recall there names.Vinny and the other guys showed a ton of skill and was exciting to see high level fighters helping one another as they prepare for there upcoming fights.
We then headed over to Texas De Brazil www.texasdebrazil.com/ which is my new addiction when I am in Las Vegas. As always we had dinner reservations at 8:15 but when dealing with Vinny you know he wont be on time,so we waited till 9:00 to sit down and had a killer mix of steaks, chickens, lamb and whatever else they bring for us to eat. After adding about 40 lbs of pure weight. We then attempted to head over to the Orleans Casino for the Tuff N Nuff show but we where so late people were leaving as we got to the front entrance. We then called it a night since Vinny has a big fight coming up at Ring Of fire, and we wanted to sleep after a huge meal.

1 man vs a country

The silent assassin (our name for him) Alex Schoenauer went down to Brazil to fight Paulo Filho, but ended up fighting the people in the crowd (mentally) and the country of Brazil who did not want one American to win.
For the record I now think Paulo is not a top 100 fighter he showed no striking, bad wrestling, and pretty much just showed up for a pay check............. oh and to shoot in on Alex hold him against the fence and do nothing else but gasp for air.
Yes that's how the fight went. Here is what we learned when in another country where your opponent is from DO NOT LET THE FIGHT GO TO THE JUDGES SCORE CARD. Check out the video thanks to

Vunny vs Daniel Valverde
Team Minotauro's Daniel Valverde faces rival Vinicius Magalhaes at UFC Fan Expo 2009
by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Jul 08, 2009 at 4:05 pm ET
The UFC Fan Expo 2009 has filled out its fourth and final Grapplers Quest superfight as Team Minoutauro jiu-jitsu coach Daniel Valverde will meets "The Ultimate Fighter 8" finalist Vinicius Magalhaes.
The Grapplers Quest organization today announced the addition via its Twitter account.
Magalhaes and Valverde will compete in one of four grappling superfights that will take place on July 10 and 11 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas at the UFC's first-ever fan expo.
The grappling contest between two high-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belts is a grudge match of sorts, as Magalhaes ruffled the feathers of of opposing "TUF" coach Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Valverde by commenting during the eighth season of the Spike TV-broadcast reality show that "Minotauro's" grappling wasn't elite-level.
Magalhaes and Valverde, as well as MMA legend Rumina Sato and multiple-time grappling champion Ulysses Gomez, will meet on Friday, July 10, beginning at 2 p.m. PT.
On Saturday, July 11, also at 2 p.m PT, WEC contender Fredson Paixao meets 22-time Grapplers Quest champion Jeff Glover, while UFC lightweight Joe Stevenson faces 22-year-old phenom Bill Cooper.
Tickets are still available for the UFC's first ever fan expo at the UFC Fan Expo 2009's official website.

A Sad Day For MMA

It is so sad to hear when a person loses there life. Charles "Mask" Lewis founder of TAPOUT helped build a MMA lifestyle Brand that will live on forever. I for one am proud to say that it was his Passion,Vision, and true love for the sport that inspired me to build my own MMA business. I have never meet Mask, but when I was around him he had a glow about him that made people smile, laugh and just feel really good to be a MMA fan. Charles I wish I could have told you this in person but Thank You for your inspiration............ your love of a sport will never be forgotten

Couture vs. Nogueira Likely for UFC 101
As reported by http://www.cagepotato.com/
The Natural and Minotauro — two legendary heavyweight champions whose last performances had fans wondering if their days of competing at the sport's highest level were over. But later this year, one of them will triumph once again. MMA Weekly breaks it:
According to multiple sources from Couture’s camp, he has agreed to face Nogueira at the yet-unannounced UFC 101 sometime in August. The event may take place in Portland, Ore. The UFC is now awaiting a response from Nogueira’s camp.
Previously, Couture was offered a fight with Nogueira in the first half of 2009, but his role in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables,” set to film in late March, got in the way. Couture was also rumored to be under consideration for UFC 99 in Cologne, Germany on June 13, but a source indicated he would be unable to complete a proper 8-week training camp and would not take the fight.
At 45 years of age, RandyCouture's shelf life as a pro fighter has become extremely limited. But to me, his loss to Brock Lesnar last November only proved that he shouldn't be in the cage with guys who are 50 pounds bigger than him. And as much as Couture vs. Nogueira is a fan's dream-match, it's too bad that Couture still insists on competing as a heavyweight, where he's now at a size disadvantage against everyone else in the division.
As for Nogueira, he looked much older than his 32 years during his loss to Frank Mir in December, where he was completely outboxed and had nothing to offer offensively; the noticeable decline in Big Nog's reaction time stood as a very bad omen for his future fights. Both Nogueira and Couture are talented enough to rebound strongly from their last losses, but the guy who loses this one might be taking a big step towards retirement. Randy may not be interested in competing as a middle-of-the-card fighter, and if Nogueira no longer has his famous durability to rely on, he'll be a sitting duck against younger, more energetic heavyweights.
But hey, let's not get too gloomy just yet. This is the fight that should have happened a year ago, when Randy was estranged from the UFC. Better late than never, right?

It's A Brown Belt Thing!!
So Vinny came up to me after a hard day of teaching at PRO-AM Mixed Martial ARTS Training Center(that's a mouth full)and said that he needed to promote one of his students. So I thought to myself cool lets get some black tape tear off a small strip and roll the tape around the dudes white belt and lets go to lunch !! Vinny then informed me that he was promoting Peter Sutton...... well to all of you in the WWW.COM land its just a name but to Vinny its a BIG Deal.
You see Peter is a Purple belt but as a purple belt he has won BJJ Nationals Absolute Division as a purple belt (crazy) and competed at the BJJ Worlds in the Black Belt Division taking 3rd as a purple belt (retarded).
